Best of Vanity Fair Features Twin Palms in Article “Palm Springs Weekends”

Vanity Fair Vanity Fair, in their Summer 2012 Best of Vanity Fair Issue, reprinted an article from June 1999 written by Bob Colacello (and photos by Jonathan Becker). The article features a number of the most well known spots in town including the Twin Palms Frank Sinatra Estate. Here’s the article’s forward. Palm Springs Weekends June 1999 “In the late 90’s, the faded desert jewel of Palm Springs sparkled once again as trendsetters from John Travolta to Tom Ford re-discovered its exuberant modernist aesthetic. Summoning the hedonistic past of a resort that drew a cavalcade of celebrities, including Bing Crosby, Lucille Ball, and Frank Sinatra, and Presidents from Eisenhower to Reagan, writer Bob Colacello and and photographer Jonathan Becker toured its social and architectural delights: houses built by masters such as Albert Frey, John Lautner, A. Quincy Jones, and Richard Neutra and inhabited by luminaries such as Bob and Dolores Hope, Walter and Lee Annenberg, and Kirk and Anne Douglas.” View / Print the Entire Article Here
